Trifecta works with your Company to understand your goals and create a roadmap to navigate near and long term success. We provide you the tools, the road map and the support to ensure projects are able to reach their full potential, while assisting you to navigate uncharted territory.
Indigenous Navigation and Economic Development
Trifecta Indigenous Development is the culmination of 30+ years in the Indigenous Development space with first hand knowledge that successful engagement can lead to long term meaningful relationships that create increased opportunities and wealth for all parties.
Consultation with local and neighboring First Nations is no longer enough, rather to be successful it is imperative that engagement not be limited to Chief and Council, but extend to community engagement as well.

CERTIFICATE OF
POSSESSION HOLDERS
Nation members who hold land title have the ability to unlock the value of their land and create generational wealth for their families, create community amenities for membership and create a revenue stream for the Nation. We can provide property management, site assessments, and key strategic partnerships. We help you navigate bylaws, government processes, Council presentations and direction, and community engagement. We work hard to ensure any additional benefits that can be provided to the Nation in the forms of employment, property taxes or the like are maximized.
BUSINESSES
(NON INDIGENOUS)
Many Companies understand the importance of meaningful engagement with local and neighboring First Nations; however, they do not know how to navigate this important work. Trifecta has been working with First Nation’s for over 30 years and has a proven track record of successful engagement and strategic problem solving. Often this can be mutually beneficial and create long term relationships if done correctly. We work with your organization to ensure that your goals are met and that your Company successfully navigates a space that can be overwhelming at the start.
DEVELOPERS
In today’s society, consultation with local First Nations is manditory to the longterm success of any development. Historically, the local First Nations have not been shown the respect they deserve in their unceded territory, but those days are gone. Local First Nations have a right to their territory and to be engaged on any development in neighboring areas. This can often feel overwhelming for developers who have not had this type of consultation in the past. We can assist you in navigating this new reality and creating long term rewarding relationships with local First Nation governments.

Reconciliation
Reconciliation presents an opportunity to define more healthy relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. The goal of Trifecta, through a corporate / professional services lens, is to explore a variety of partnerships to add meaning to reconciliation for the purpose of developing projects that are sensitive to the needs of Indigenous people. At the heart of reconciliation is how ancestral lands are owned and managed. Project accommodations need to be made to get projects “right” and we have the experience on how to do that. As between clients and consultants, if we can agree that being creative is a necessary means to succeed and be mindful of cultural ways, we believe that new pathways to progress can be achieved and hence the concept of reconciliation can be complemented by definition.
Team Trifecta
The team at Trifecta has been working in the Indigenous business development space for 30 + years. We are confident in our ability to navigate any area in the space with often unconventional methods that have proven successful.
We have learned that since the beginning of time First Nations have captured their history and culture through oral history, which has been passed down from generation to generation. First Nations have a rich history and culture that are a benefit to any project, business or development. However, as time has moved forward the way in which communication is handled, the messaging and the audience have evolved significantly.
- Conducting the “gold standard” referenced Nationally by Indigenous Services Canada on community engagement for designation and business terms
- Having the highest voter turn out on a designation and business terms for an Urban Indigenous Project (passing by 87%)
- Successfully negotiating with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) an alternative method of leasing
- The development of multiple privately held First Nation’s developments in and around Vancouver and Vancouver Island
- Business development for many First Nations entrepreneurs to create and succesfully run their own businesses
- Job identification and creation through economic development and on site project training and mentorship programs
- Community engagement
- Chief and Council workshops and visioning sessions
We have been fortunate to build our business with the guidance of many elders, Chiefs and Council members. Thanks to this guidance we are able to view projects and communities through a clearer lens for the mutual benefit of all parties.
